A trip to the Zoo

Today we went to the Zoo. Almost all of the animals were awake and active. When we arrived, this guy was trying to impress the ladies. He was doing a mating dance which was quite entertaining.

Here are baby peacocks with their mommy, they kind of look like ducks, but they're peacocks.

Peter and Connor enjoyed looking at the fish and the hippo.
Next we went to see some monkeys and met up with Chris, Mary and the girls.

Connor decided the monkeys/gorillas were exhausting and took a nap.
We also saw some big cats on our way back towards the front.
Look what has traffic stopped!
From where we are standing, there's a third bus behind us and everyone is stuck because there's a duck crossing the street. The bus on the right had to do some pretty amazing maneuvering to avoid hitting the bus on the left as they wanted to trade places.
We stood where we were and watched the whole thing go down...and once the duck had crossed the road he walked right by us and then kept on going.
Next we went to the children's area and pet some goats. For some reason our picture came out really bright.
Camille really enjoyed helping Connor find some goats to pet.

We had a great time, then we all came home and took a much needed nap.

6 Month Photo Shoot

We took Connor in to get 6 month photos taken last weekend. They arrived just in time for Mother's Day. He's such a photogenic baby we had a hard time picking favorites as they were all our favorites...so we bought a lot! But really who could blame us?

We gave this one below to both grandmas

The grandmas got this one too. Peter and I learned for future photo shoots to wear clothing that matches in case they end up putting parts of us in the photos too.
