2 Months Old

Following in her brother's footsteps-was the comment the pediatrician made yesterday during Chloe's 2 month appointment.  At Connor's 2 month appointment he gained 1 pound 7 ounces and 3 inches in length.  Chloe has gained 1 pound 6.5 ounces and 3 inches in length.  Yes I have another long and lean baby.
Her stats are:
weight-10 pounds 7.5 ounces
length-23 inches
Head-40cm

She endured three shots and a liquid vaccination.  She was a real trooper.

Getting ready for the holidays

 Napping babes
Connor had refused to take a nap...then crashed on the couch as Chloe was waking up.
Look what Connor made with a little help...Connor is very proud of his ghost.
We're doing a Halloween craft a day during the week.  This was the second one we attempted.  We made ghost/pumpkin/bat garland that hasn't been strung up yet.
Today we went to the pumpkin patch with friends.  Connor enjoyed feeding the goats.
He enjoyed petting them too, they were very friendly.
Aren't they cute.  Connor picked out his outfit today-hence the reason he's not matching everyone else.  Chloe wore her shirt to our ward Halloween party yesterday.  Her shirt is actually part of her costume as she's a pumpkin.
They are so cute.  There are also three infants with matching shirts not pictured.
The mommies got together at Ellen's house and made those cute tie dyed pumpkin shirts with iron on transfer faces.

The day the diggers came back

Yesterday the diggers came back to our house to repair the street.  They didn't bring the fancy huge backhoe, but Connor thought it was just as cool to see a bobcat loader/impact hammer.  The dump truck of course was a highlight and then we saw the steam roller, which was pretty cool too.
Connor and I had a great time watching all of the action.  They were in and out quite quickly.

Here are a few videos of the process.
1-Digging up the temporary asphalt
2-Scooping up asphalt and loading into dump truck

3Dumping permanent asphalt and an affer to sit in the truck.
Later we stood by the truck, but Connor didn't want to go inside.

4-Rolling on top of asphalt

And just like that the street is done.

While mommy slept...

While mommy thought Connor was asleep, she took a nap with Chloe...I woke up to my little angel playing quietly with his trucks.  I headed to the kitchen and noticed this- Chloe's diapers strewn about.
Went upstairs to find random toys in the hallway.
And then into Chloe's room to find all of her clothes had been dumped.  What a sweet little angel I have.
We cleaned up the messes together.

Chloe has recently started smiling when smiled at and it's not gas.
She's also much more alert.
But after playing for an hour or so, she's ready for a good nap.
This past week Connor and I enjoyed some playdough time.  Here he shows off the little ball he made.
Here's the big ball.
On Saturday we went to Sea World again.  Weekends in October they have candy stations throughout the park to trick or treat at.  We only went to three of the stations, which was plenty of candy for Connor.  Here he is with sugar baby drool running down his chin.
When Chloe was born she gave him a garbage truck as a present.  He has recently taken up sleeping with his garbage truck, while his teddy is off to the side keeping the truck book company.

My Little Angels

Look at me run!

Hello!
Swinging on the big boy swing.
Chloe 6 weeks

Awww he does love her...sometimes.

Our adventures last week

Lions and giraffes and Chloe oh my!
I looked out the window and what did I see...a backhoe impact hammer cutting up our street.  An old pipe had brought us such a neat surprise, someone's favorite truck right in front of our eyes.  Connor and I rushed out to the street.  We sat on our wall and watched the treat. But eventually it had to go, though it was awesome to see, a backhoe impact hammer cutting up our street.
The backhoe drove down the street and around the corner...a few minutes later it drove up the street with a scoop bucket and started making a big hole.
After the water pipe had been replaced, the backhoe scooped asphalt out of the dump truck and fixed the street.
The process took about 2 hours and we watched every bit of it.

Last weekend was Peter's work day at Sea World.  We invited my dad and had a blast.
Connor wanted to see Penny Penguin from a distance.
The polar bear was actually out roaming around.

There were bubbles all over the place!
Connor pet a dolphin and a bat ray.
We stayed until about 2:30 then headed home for lunch and a much needed nap.  Connor was asleep before we were out of the parking lot. At 5:15 we headed back to the park.  At 6:30 the park was only open to GA employees and their families.  We caught the 6:45 sea lion show and the 7:30 Shamu show.  we watched the whales afterwards too.  The new baby whale was very friendly and kept swimming next to the glass.  Then we all shared a funnel cake and went home.
We bought year passes and plan on going back in two weeks for some Halloween fun.
