You Belong in a Zoo!

Can you guess where we went today? Not only that but we got a year's membership. We can go to the Zoo or the Wild Animal Park. So if anyone wants to go and wants company give us a call.

Here are a few of our favorite animals that were actually awake!

Here's Peter's favorite. They're sleeping Wombats.

Most of the animals we saw were sleeping. I guess between 12 and 5:30 is nap time for all of the animals. We have several pictures of snoozing animals...Enjoy
The Koala on the left is eating, the one on the right is asleep.
Sleeping Llama
Sleeping Tapir

And we waited in a line for about 15 minutes to see a sleeping Panda!

We did manage to have a little fun of our own too.

Date Night

Peter and I went out for a date night Saturday night. It was really quite fun. It was my turn to pick where we were going. So we headed to Boomers for a round of miniature golf. But first we stopped in San Marcos for dinner at restaurant row. We were looking for a Thai place, but couldn't find it. So we picked Old California Mining Company. We had the Tri-Tip dinner for two. It included a trip to the salad bar, veggies, a baked potato and more than enough meat for the two of us. It was really good! Then we headed to the Boomers in Vista. The Vista Boomers has a pirate themed golf area.

Since we forgot our camera on our outing, Peter decided to thrill you all with his wonderful drawings. (Plus we know how much you all love his drawings...I think they're kind of better than pictures anyway.) So here's how our game went for the first 6 holes.

Then somehow Peter's luck turned and he managed to get a hole in one on one of those nearly impossible ant hills. And yes he did walk around with his finger in the air for awhile.

So in the end, he kicked my butt. But we all had fun. Here's our score card. It was a great date night!

Different strokes for different folks

So Peter and I were having a discussion just now and we need your advice. Is this tub of butter ready to be thrown in the trash/recycling, or should we save it and scrape every last bit of butter out so as to not be wasteful. Mind you there is a brand new tub of butter in the fridge too.
