Family Photos/Mormon Battalion

This weekend was the Mormon Battalion in Old Town.  As usual, Peter and his dad participated in the dutch oven bake off.  They won third place for pumpkin bread and best in show for their black forest cake.  We went and cheered daddy and grandpa on when they took the cake to the judges.  Everyone had great things to say about how beautiful the cake was and of course how delicious it was.  We went back to the cooking area and chowed down on cake..it really was the best in show cake.
Connor, Chloe and I watched the bake off for awhile and then went to the main area and listened to story tellers and some song/dance/music groups.  After awards were announced for the bake off, we went and made bricks, pioneer dolls and played with pioneer toys.
Chloe even sat down and "made" a pioneer doll.  The lady at the front handing out the aprons for the dolls said that many of the boys turned the apron around and turned their doll into a super hero with a cape.  So Connor made a super hero and Chloe made a doll.
Cute picture of Chloe from last week
This morning Connor came to show me his church clothes.  I said, "wow look how handsome you are."  Well, today after church Connor ran up to everyone in the hall and said, "look how handsome I are."
Our sister-in-law Amy took these awesome family pictures for us in December
