Bay Area and L.A. Adventures

A couple weeks ago, Peter and I flew up to San Jose to go to Patrick and Debra's wedding in Oakland. We decided to make it a vacation and did as much sight seeing as we could. We went all over San Francisco-The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Lombard Street, it was all so much fun. Another day we went to Santa Cruz and enjoyed the redwoods. On our last day we drove up to Fairfield and took a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory. We brought home a case of belly flops (the imperfectly shaped jelly beans) to share with friends and family. The following weekend we drove to Camarillo for Patrick and Debra's open house, which was in a really nice historical building. After that we spent the next day at the Huntington with my aunt and uncle. We explored the Japanese and newly added Chinese Gardens as well as all the other gardens. My favorite was the Children's Garden. It had water features and misters and plants cut in the shape of teddy bears; it was a lot of fun!
